Previous Coaching Experience
Saunders started on the sideline for the Nor'easters in 2021, including serving as Interim Head Coach from mid-October into the offseason. UNE went 4-3 overall, finished off its perfect conference regular-season to secure the tournament's top seed, and reached double overtime of the championship game.

She coached the varsity program at Bonny Eagle High School in 2018.

Competitive Experience / Education
Saunders played four seasons (2014-17) and 90 games at forward for the Nor'easters under current head coach, Danielle Collins. Saunders maintains sizable leads on UNE's career goals and points lists, with 64 and 152, respectively. She was an NFHCA All-America 3rd Team selection in 2016, a two-time 1st Team all-region pick, and a three-time All-CCC 1st Team honoree. Saunders was part of the winningest class in program history (72-23, 45-3 CCC), with four regular-season crowns, just as many postseason championships, and the same amount of NCAA tournament victories. She was UNE's Female Athlete of the Year in 2017-18, and graduated in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education.
