University of New England Athletics: Setting the Standard of Excellence
By becoming a member of the Varsity Club, you join many alumni, staff, parents, and friends who recognize the need to support the efforts of University of New England in providing a balanced athletics program. It is the goal of the Varsity Club to assist the administration, the coaching staff, and all of our student-athletes in striving for excellence in athletics and academics. The Varsity Club Committee welcomes assistance from all that believe in the well being of our student-athletes.
The Varsity Club’s Mission
The Varsity Club recognizes the unique challenges associated with being a student-athlete and seeks to furnish students with encouragement and to:
~ Recognize the accomplishments of UNE student-athletes.
~ Help offset special Athletics Department costs (e.g. athletic training equipment, trophy cases, banners and awards).
~ Provide renovations and upgrade existing facilities.
~ Sponsor the creation of a Hall of Fame (selection process, induction ceremony and banquet).
~ Provide athletics schedules and preseason updates to the community.
~ Serve as ambassadors of UNE Athletics to the UNE community, prospective student-athletes, and their parents.
