Biography
2009: was one of three Nor'easters to compete in all eight of the team's events... recorded a season-best time of 29:15 at the TCCC Championship... had a strong showing at the James Earley Invitational with a time of 29:21... given the squad's Most Improved Runner award... earned TCCC academic all-conference honors.
2008: served as captain of the Nor'easters... competed in all nine events for UNE, including both the ECAC Championship and NCAA Regionals... clocked his low time of the season (29:09) at the TCCC Championship.
2007: was named TCCC all-conference... ran seven events for the Nor'easters, including the NCAA Regionals... placed eighth at the TCCC Championship meet, running a 29:00... finished the ECAC Championship race in 27:37.2, a season best... did not run a race over 29:00 all season and had three Top 10 finishes... was named TCCC Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 30.
High School: graduated with honors from Mynterse Academy... member of National Honor Society... qualified for the Section 5 State Championship.
Personal: parents are Anne and George Havelin... majoring in biochemistry and is a member of the Honors Program... is a Sigma Alpha Chi inductee... will serve as co-captain for the 2010 season.
