Personal: her parents are Amber McGowan and Shawn Guest... majoring in environmental science, with minors in both political science and climate change studies... a Dean's List student, member of the CCC Academic All-Conference Team, and inductee into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society.

Prior to UNE: earned a total of seven varsity letters as a cross country and track athlete while at Morse High School... served as a team captain in each sport... was named the Most Improved Runner for the cross country team and received the Coach's Award in track.
