Personal: the daughter of Linda and Rich Burgess... majoring in marine biology, with a minor in applied mathematics... a Dean's List student, 2-time member of the CCC Academic All-Conference Team, member of the NEISDA All-Academic Team, and inductee into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society.... has performed research at the Sulikowski Shark and Fish Research Lab... is a peer tutor in UNE's Student Academic Success Center... active volunteer with the Animal Welfare Society... received UNE's Sophomore Award for Academic Excellence, as well as the Junior Award for Academic Excellence.
Prior to UNE: was a four-year varsity swimmer at Notre Dame Academy of Hingham, Mass.... won the team's Coach's Award her senior year.
