Prior to UNE: served as captain of her team at East Lyme High School... was a three-time all-conference athlete... won the Biology Award (2007) and Film and Trig Award (2010).

Personal: the daughter of Deirdre and John Ahern... is majoring in medical biology... was a volunteer for the High Hopes Therapuetic Riding Club.
