OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine -- More than 130 participants in the form of 33 teams joined the University of New England Athletics Department at Dunegrass Golf Club on Friday (May 29) for the 2026 edition of the Vaughn Twaddel Golf Classic, which is named in honor of the Westbrook College professor and UNE men's golf coach.

The field included alumni from all three colleges (UNE, St. Francis, Westbrook), friends and supporters of Nor'easter athletics, and current University staff, who all played an 18-hole scramble under predominantly sunny skies and then shared a lunch while the tournament and raffle prizes were distributed. The event is coordinated by head golf coach Kasey Keenan.
