Ferraro headlines All-CNE accolades for UNE

BEVERLY, Mass. -- University of New England senior midfielder Sydney Balotin, sophomore defender Halle Powers, and first-year goalie Olivia Ferraro have all earned Conference of New England (CNE) Women's Lacrosse 1st Team status, as the 2026 season honors were announced by CNE Assistant Commissioner Brett Bosley on Thursday (Apr. 30).

Ferraro also received the Goalkeeper of the Year distinction, which was created in 2025.

For Balotin, it marks the fourth year of recognition by the conference head coaches, but the first time on the top squad. She was also the 2023 Rookie of the Year. Balotin is now one of five Nor'easters to achieve an all-league award four times, and the first since 2018.

The selection for Powers is her first, just like for junior attack Molly Henderson, who landed a CNE 2nd Team nod.

Additionally, this postseason, Eliese Latham was highlighted as the recipient of the 2026 CNE Women's Lacrosse Elite 21 Award, which recognizes the student-athlete with the highest GPA who is participating in the championship.
