WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- Guided by a round of 77 from
Ben Donahue, the University of New England men's golf team finished in a tie for 4th place out of nine institutions at the University of Hartford Hawks Invitational on Monday (Apr. 27) at Wampanoag Country Club.
The Nor'easters totaled 319 as a group to wind up behind Hartford (292), Salem State University (312), and Rhode Island College (314), and level with Endicott College. The other four programs posted numbers between 320 and 328.
Jasper Bruins Slot of RIC and SSU's Patrick Cotter notched the lowest individual scores of the day at 1-under-par 71.
Donahue had three birdies and secured a piece of 11th place in the field of 48.
Owen Lee (78),
Noah Fay (80), and
Sean Guerrette (84) completed the team total for the Nor'easters.
