UNE runs through Colby, 25-7

BIDDEFORD, Maine – The University of New England women's rugby team rolled to a 25-7 win over Colby College on Friday night at Blue Storm Stadium, with five different players finding the try zone.

UNE barely needed two minutes of game action to gain the lead, and eventually had a 15-0 advantage at halftime. Colby scored its lone try early in the second half and connected on the ensuing conversion.

Maeve McNulty handed the Nor'easters the early 5-0 edge before Sarah Daggett doubled the lead at the 16:15 mark. Caroline Rhodes accounted for the final score of the first half at 24:55. Tori Demers gave UNE a commanding 20-0 lead with an early second-half try before the Mules responded with their only score of the evening. Mckenna LaBarge had the match's final try at 65:45.

Friday's win avenged a 36-15 loss UNE took to Colby on Halloween night in 2025.

The Nor'easters are in action at home again on Friday, Oct. 9 to host Bowdoin.
