BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England women's swimming squad stayed unbeaten in dual meets by claiming all 14 events to rack up a 202-59 victory over Rhode Island College at the Campus Center Pool on Saturday (Jan. 17).

The Nor'easters (5-0) collected two wins apiece from seniors Emmy Hinson, Liv Roux, and Maeve McDermott to lead the dominance. Meghan Cabral, Tess ZurawskiLily Stam, Payton Walmsley, Mya Peters, and Bella Shrewsbury each raced to one triumph, and the hosts captured both relays with room to spare.

Hinson topped the 200-fly (2:54.23) and then the 50-fly (31.40), where Ari Cioffi took second (32.23). Roux led the scoring field in the 50-free (28.00) -- edging out Cioffi (28.17) and Regina Dyer (28.61) -- and then touched the wall first in the 500-free (6:23.63). McDermott registered first-place times in the 100-free (58.81) and 200-IM (2:23.55).

Cabral clocked 35.79 to take the 50-breast, Peters swam away with the 1,000-free (12:31.49), and Shrewsbury posted 31.53 for the nod in the 50-back. Walmsley, who also recorded an exhibition 27.81 in the 50-free, notched the win in the 100-breast (1:14.75). Zurawski's solo victory was in the 100-back (1:07.99), with Shrewsbury 0.69 behind.

Stam logged the closest decision of the day in the 200-free (2:22.06), narrowly out-stretching Emily Gilliam by just 0.11 seconds.

The 200 medley relay featuring Roux, McDermott, Cioffi, and Dyer was second-to-none at the start of the afternoon, dialing up a time of 2:03.91. Closing things out with the 200 freestyle relay, it was Cioffi, Hinson, Roux, and Zurawski who combined for 1:54-flat.

UNE is back in the pool at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth next Saturday.
