CASCO, Maine -- Owen Lee began his Nor'easter career with a three-over-par round of 75 to guide the University of New England men's golf team in a 5th-place finish out of eight institutions competing at the season-opening John Queenan Memorial hosted by Saint Joseph's College at Point Sebago Golf Course on Wednesday (Sep. 3).

Lee -- a junior transfer -- carded three birdies on the way to sharing 3rd place out of the field of 54 individuals, four strokes back of the University of Southern Maine's Alex Grant and Will Farschon of Southern Maine Community College.

The Nor'easters totaled a score of 322 to trail USM (308), Husson University (316), SMCC (318), and Gordon College (321).

Also contributing to the team number was Sean Guerrette (79; t-14th), Ben Donahue (82), and rookie Noah Fay (86).

UNE is slated to take part in the modified-format Southern Maine Cup on Saturday at Riverside Golf Club.
