WATERVILLE, Maine – Thomas College took a pair of sevens matches from the University of New England women's rugby team on Sunday afternoon on Alumni Field.
UNE dropped a 24-5 decision in the opening match, and despite narrowing the margin in the second, suffered a 21-10 defeat to the Terriers to close the afternoon.
Caroline Rhodes was responsible for the Nor'easters' lone try in the first match, and tries in the second outing came from
Tori Demers and
Mckenna LaBarge.
Cassidy Hardy powered Thomas with 20 points from four tries. Brooke Taylor added 15 points.
UNE is lined up to visit the Terriers again on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 11 a.m.
