MANCHESTER, Maine -- Owen Lee supplied a 3-over-par round of 73 to help the University of New England men's golf team finish 4th out of 8 squads on Tuesday (Sep. 23) at Maine Maritime Academy's Mariners Invitational, which was played at the par 70 Augusta Country Club.

Powered by the top individuals -- Alex Grant (68) and Alex Fournier (70) -- the University of Southern Maine totaled 286 for an eight-shot win over Husson University (294). Colby College (302) and the Nor'easters (307) were next in line, before host MMA (335).

Lee placed 7th on the day, behind the third-highest amount of pars (13) in the field of 41 golfers. It was his third top-10 of the year, as his season average dropped to 75.50 strokes.

Ben Donahue, Sean Guerrette, and Noah Fay each recorded 78 to round out the UNE score, while Tim Melley came in with an 80. Guerrette had a team-best two birdies.

A busy week for the Nor'easters continues on Wednesday at Gordon College, before a two-day event at Bowdoin College this weekend.
