Noah Fay, and
Ben Donahue each put forth top-10 efforts as the University of New England men's golf team claimed 4th place out of eight at Colby College's Sid Farr Invitational, which was played Saturday (Sep. 20) at Waterville Country Club.
The Nor'easters scored 324 as a group to wind up behind Husson University (313), Colby (319), and the University of Southern Maine (320), and ahead of Saint Joseph's College of Maine (344). Owen Carlson of the Mules carded the low individual round of the day, going for a 2-over 72 to win by three shots.
Lee's 77 was good for a share of 5th position, Fay had a piece of 7th with his 80, and Donahue claimed t-9th with an 81. The UNE total was rounded out by an 86, which was recorded by both
Sean Guerrette and
Jimmy Hulland.
Next up for the Nor'easters will be the Mariners Invitational at Augusta Country Club on Tuesday.
