BANGOR, Maine -- Ben Donahue tied his personal low in relation to par and tied for 3rd place as the University of New England men's golf squad wound up in fifth position at the Husson University Invitational on Saturday (Sep. 13) at Bangor Municipal Golf Course.

Donahue dropped four birdies in the middle of the round -- after three early bogeys -- and finished with a 1-over-par 72. That ended up five strokes off of the leading pace set by the University of Southern Maine's Alex Grant (67) in the field of 58.

Grant's Huskies posted 295 as a group to claim the team title by five over the host Eagles (300). Southern Maine Community College (301) and Colby College (304) also came in ahead of the Nor'easters (310).

UNE received scoring support for Donahue from Owen Lee (77), Noah Fay (80), and Tim Melley (81).

Next Saturday, the Nor'easters will be at the Colby Classic.
