NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Izabella Haagenson lowered her school record in the 100-meter hurdles as eight members of the University of New England competed at the 2025 New England Division III Track & Field Championships, which concluded day two on Saturday (May 3) at the Coast Guard Academy.

As part of the heptathlon, Haagenson clocked 16.95 to improve on her own program-best in the hurdles. Two weeks ago, the senior registered an even 17.00 seconds, and now holds the first six times at UNE.

Olivia Chase finished in 6th place in the hammer throw with a scoring distance of 44.64 meters. The mark was the third-furthest by the junior, who stands with the top 27 throws in school history; four of the top 10 came on Friday.

Senior Nina Parziale posted a top-10 showing in the 10,000-meter race with a time of 38:45.65, good for 8th. Graduate Kelsee Gladu logged a season-fastest time (39:22.19) in the same event, and came in 12th.
