CUMBERLAND, Maine -- Southern Maine Community College defeated the University of New England in women's golf action, 176-204, in a modified-scoring format event on Friday (Apr. 25) at Val Halla Golf Club. Two scores out of each team's three were counted, instead of the traditional four.

The Seawolves received the round of the day from Charlotte Blanchard -- a 13-over-par 85. Sydney Pergerson added a 91.

For the Nor'easters, sophomores Amanda Forziati and Eadie Nadeau went for 101 and 103, respectively. Both Nadeau and senior Katelynn LeBlanc (114) posted personal bests by two shots.

UNE challenged in seven events during its inaugural 2024-25 season, and will look forward to next year and an opportunity to compete for a Conference of New England (CNE) Championship during the fall schedule.
