Jacobs, Tremblay lead eight All-CNE picks

BEVERLY, Mass. -- For the third consecutive year, University of New England senior midfielder Micaela Jacobs and senior defender Shelly Tremblay are the two Nor'easter representatives on the Conference of New England (CNE) Field Hockey 1st Team, which was announced with the 2025 season awards on Friday (Nov. 7) by CNE Assistant Commissioner Brett Bosley.

Tremblay joins elite company with the top-squad honor, as just the second UNE field hockey player selected to the first team in all four of their years -- defender Kersey Boulay (2015-18) was the first.

Jacobs is now one of six others in program history to garner a first team spot in three seasons.

Finding a place on the CNE 2nd Team were senior defender Makena Valentine, junior forward Kate Kelso, and junior midfielder Gianna Korisianos. Korisianos now has recognition in each of her seasons.

With the expansion of the league membership by two institutions in 2025, a CNE 3rd Team was introduced. The Nor'easters put three more in that grouping, with senior defender Ann Young, sophomore midfielder Abby Stevens, and sophomore forward Riley Zielinski.

As voted by the conference head coaches, Endicott College (9) and Roger Williams University (9) were the only programs with more honorees than UNE's eight.
