KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine --
Owen Lee led the field with 13 pars en route to a 3-over-par 72 and tied for first place at the University of New England Men's Golf Invitational on Wednesday (Oct. 8) at Cape Arundel Golf Club. The Nor'easters totaled 308 as a group to come in second out of four teams.
Splitting the top spot with Lee was Daniel Aguado of Southern Maine Community College, who had four birdies in a span of eight holes during the rainy, softer conditions on the front nine. Aguado and SMCC turned in a team score of 301 to win the event, ahead of UNE and the University of Southern Maine (313) in third.
Lee is the fourth Nor'easter to secure an outright or shared individual title at the annual home competition -- the first since 2021.
Joining Lee for the team number was
Ben Donahue (78),
Noah Fay (79), and
Jimmy Hulland (79).
Sean Guerrette -- playing as an individual -- was third on the leaderboard with a personal collegiate-best of 73, highlighted by a pair of birdies.
UNE is now off for 10 days before heading to Cape Cod for the 2025 New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship.
