UNE competes at the Keene State Invitational

KEENE, N.H. -- The University of New England men's cross country team came in 19th from a field of 26 programs on Saturday (Oct. 4) at the Keene State College Invitational.

Two of the nation's top 10 institutions -- No.9 Williams College and No.7 Tufts University -- were tight at the front of the pack, with the Ephs (31) claiming a narrow, one-point win. The Jumbos had the first two runners across the line, including Jonah Reisner, who had an 8K time of 24:12.

UNE's effort was paced by the 54th-place finish of Troy Silvestri among the 277 finishers, with a time of 26:24. Michael Erickson (153rd; 28:27) and Thomas Hoff (155th; 28:31) were next, followed by Edward Iannuzzi-Sucich (209th; 30:01) and Griffin Kaplan (212th; 30:11).

The Nor'easters are back in action on October 18 at the Connecticut College Invitational.
