Nor'easters roll through UNH, 47-12

DURHAM, N.H. – Playing in its first 15s match of the season, the University of New England women's rugby team rolled to a 47-12 victory over the University of New Hampshire's second 15s squad on Saturday afternoon at Bremner Field.

A score on the final possession of the first half was a positive sign for the Nor'easters, who had a 14-0 lead at halftime before erupting for 33 points in the second half.

Tori Demers finished the match with three tries, while Caroline Rhodes also put up 15 points with a try and five conversions (5-of-6). Hannah Ramalho and Aryn Ward also contributed tries for UNE.

In addition to her offensive production, Rhodes provided sure tackling defensively, while Reese Meehan brought consistent pressure. Sarah Coldwell was key in both scrums and open-field play for the Nor'easters.

UNE returns home to Blue Storm Stadium for a Halloween matchup with Colby. Kickoff on Friday, October 31 is set for 6:30 p.m.
