Athletics Department Awards History

BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England Athletics Department held its annual awards ceremony at the Harold Alfond Forum on Monday night (May 6), celebrating the 2023-24 academic year in competition, in the classroom, and in the community. The following were among the honorees:

Department Awards:
Athlete of the Year - Women's Sports: Jordyn Franzen, basketball
Athlete of the Year - Women's Sports: Nina Parziale, cross country / track & field
Athlete of the Year - Men's Sports: Billy Girard IV, ice hockey

Rookie Athlete of the Year - Women's Sports: Mic Hujus, swimming
Rookie Athlete of the Year - Men's Sports: Damien Jones, football

Senior Scholar-Athlete Award - Women's Sports: Emily Martin, soccer
Senior Scholar-Athlete Award - Women's Sports: Sienna Matregrano, track & field
Senior Scholar-Athlete Award - Men's Sports: Karl Mohr, soccer
