SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Mia Celentano scored four of her game-high seven goals during a 7-1 2nd period as Western New England University separated from the University of New England on the way to an 18-11 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's lacrosse result on Saturday afternoon (Apr. 20) at Golden Bear Stadium.
When Celentano netted goal number five with 0:06 left in the 2nd, WNEU had a 9-2 cushion.
The Golden Bears (6-10) took a big step towards locking up the third seed for the upcoming conference tournament with the win, improving to 4-2 in league play. The Nor'easters (5-9) dip back to 3-3 in CCC outings.
Ally Ferraro added four goals for the hosts, who received a combined 13 saves from Riley Franco and Faith Graveline.

Morgan White tallied five scores to become the ninth player in program history to reach the 100-goal plateau. The junior also collected eight draw controls.
Sydney Balotin contributed a pair of goals as well as eight draws and two caused turnovers for the visitors, and
Emma Collingwood registered a goal and one assist.
Paige DeVries notched a game-best four ground balls and a couple of caused turnovers.

The Nor'easters wrap up the regular season on Wednesday at Gordon College (1-5 CCC).
