BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Julia Kelley tallied five of her game-high 13 points in the 1st quarter as Roger Williams University defeated the University of New England, 20-3, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon (Mar. 30) at Blue Bolt Field.

The Hawks (3-6, 2-0 CCC) got out to a 7-0 lead through 15 minutes and the spread was 12-1 at the break.

Kelley scored six times and handed out seven assists, and connected five times with Karli Chapin, who totaled four goals and two assists to go with a seven draw controls. Emma Terino added three goals for RWU, and Kimmy Creegan chipped in with four points on top of four draws. Zoey Cormican posted eight saves.

For the Nor'easters (3-6, 1-1), Barrie Guertin, Sydney Balotin, and Meagan Donovan found the back of the net. Morgan White collected six draw controls, while Balotin had a couple to go with two caused turnovers. Jenna Trafford had six stops and four ground balls.

UNE heads for Curry College on Tuesday.
