BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England matched a program record with 10 different goal scorers in an 11-0 Conference of New England (CNE) field hockey victory against Gordon College at Blue Bolt Field on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 2).

It was the fifth time tallying double digits in UNE history, and the first occasion since 2010. The Nor'easters (8-11, 2-3 CNE) now move into next week's league championship semifinals as the No.4 seed, with a 7 p.m. Wednesday date at top seed Endicott College on the schedule.

UNE -- which piled up massive disparities in shots (47-0), shots on goal (35-0), and penalty corners (13-0) -- struck 41 seconds into the match on a goal by Gianna Korisianos, and it was 3-0 just over five minutes in, with markers from Laney LeBlanc and Lily Clough.

Madi Robito and Kate Kelso padded the cushion to 5-0 in the 2nd quarter before McKenzie Berry and Olivia Dwyer found the back of the cage in the final 50 seconds of the opening half to set the margin at seven.

Berry became the only multiple scorer with the lone tally of the 3rd, and then in the 4th period, Emma Shuman, Kennedy St. Pierre, and Isabel Culver joined the party with goals.

Six individuals registered assists for the hosts, including Robito, Clough, Abby Stevens, Kelso, Berry, and Riley Zielinski. The goals for Kelso, Shuman, and St. Pierre were their first ones of the year. Dawn DeWeese-Moss picked up her eighth positive decision with 26 minutes of work in goal, before Savanna Harvey and Greta Jennison essentially split the remainder of the game.

For the Fighting Scots (1-18, 0-5), Allyson Stauffer was busy during the 1st, 2nd, and 4th quarters, totaling 19 saves. Haylee Briggs made four stops in the penultimate stanza.
