Nor'easters conclude fall season at Gordon

WENHAM, Mass. -- Amanda Forziati recorded a round of 84 to start the University of New England women's golf squad towards a third-place showing at Gordon College's New England Classic, which was contested Saturday (Oct. 5) at Wenham Country Club.

Suffolk University had four scores at 80 or below on the way to the title, posting 305 as a group. Krisna Mahendran topped the field of 14 individuals around the par-66 track, carding a 70 to pace the Rams.

Gordon College (407) edged UNE (416) for second; the Fighting Scots were led by Elizabeth Parent with a 99.

Forziati started strong with a 37 on the front nine and finished in 5th position overall. The sophomore was among the top five in every event for the Nor'easters this season.

UNE then received 103 from Reese LeMay, 105 out of Eadie Nadeau, and 124 from Libby Stevens. For the second day in a row, Nadeau posted her lowest stroke total of the year.
