GRAY, Maine -- The University of New England men's cross country team placed 10th with a score of 306 at the Bates College Invitational, which was held at Pineland Farms on Saturday (Oct. 5).
Washington & Lee University took home the top spot, posting a score of 34 with four individuals among the first 10 runners across the line. Positions two through five were bunched between 83 points and 98, with MIT, the host Bobcats, Bowdoin College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Avi Bissoondial of WPI was first at the finish with an 8K time of 25:01.

The Nor'easters head to Western New England University in two weeks (Oct. 19) for the Golden Bears' regular-season meet, which will be a preparation for the Conference of New England Championship on the same course in early November.
