BIDDEFORD, Maine – Reigning NIRA Division III champion Bowdoin rolled to a 99-0 victory over the University of New England women's rugby team on Friday evening at Blue Storm Stadium.
The Polar Bears (2-2), scored three tries in the match's first 10 minutes and held a 54-0 lead at halftime. Lulu Linkas scored 30 of Bowdoin's points, including 16 via conversions. Consecutive tries scored by Ginger Arnold opened the scoring with back-to-back tries and helped the visitors grab a 14-0 lead by the five-minute mark of the opening half. Linkas later notched consecutive tries during the second half.
