BIDDEFORD, Maine -- A trio of University of New England swimmers earned two individual victories, as the Nor'easters eased past Rhode Island College, 184-76, in a women's meet between Little East Conference foes Saturday afternoon (Jan. 20) at the Campus Center.

Annika Doeppers, Tess Zurawski and Mic Hujus picked up two wins apiece. Doeppers was the first swimmer to touch the wall in the 400-yard individual medley (5:28.01) and 100-yard breast stroke (1:17.04), while Zurawski was victorious in the 100-yard freestyle (1:02.67) and 200-yard individual medley (2:32.01). Hujus won the 50-yard back (29.25) and 500-yard free (5:46.30), while also swimming a leg of winning relay entries (200-yard medley, 200-yard freestyle). Her backstroke time of 28.64 leading off the 200 medley relay bettered the school record she established just one week ago.

The Nor'easters also received winning performances from Elli Donovan (200-yard free; 2:14.22), Katie Durrua (100-yard butterfly; 1:09.79) and Liv Roux (100-yard back; 1:08.88).

Durrua, Donovan, Hujus and Meghan Cabral teamed up to take the 200-yard medley relay, and Jessica Russell anchored the winning 200-yard freestyle relay entry with Hujus, Donovan and Doeppers.

Anna Vygoder was first in two events for the Anchorwomen, winning the 50-yard free and 50-yard butterfly.

UNE (5-2) returns to action next Saturday (Jan. 27) with a road meet at UMass Dartmouth.Â
