NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The University of New England women's rugby team began its season with two victories at the Norwich Jamboree on Saturday.
 
The Nor'easters defeated the hosts 7-0 to start the day. Johanna Robinson scored a try for UNE and Brianna Dargin added the conversion kick. In its second match of the day, UNE took on a combined team from Castleton and New England College and also won 7-0. Corinne Puchalski touched in a try and Sara Kraus made the conversion.
 
UNE returns to action on Saturday at New Haven at 1 p.m.
