Scoring Summary

BIDDEFORD, Maine – Liz Cogan scored the first three tries of the game to help the University of New England to a 17-0 halftime lead on its way to a 41-5 victory over Norwich University in a National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) matchup at Blue Storm Stadium on a windy Saturday afternoon.
 
Cogan touched in for the first try in only the 4th minute. She added tries in the 27th [Watch] and 38th minutes. Brianna Dargin went 2-for-3 on conversion kicks in the first half to pad the UNE cushion.
 
The Nor'easters continued their momentum in the second half as Sara Kraus went in for a score in the 46th minute. Norwich answered later with a try by Carlyan Vigbedor. UNE would roll from there with scores by Dargin and two by Samantha Malley. Kraus helped setup the final Nor'easter try with a long run and great offload to Malley who finished the run in the 79th minute. [Watch]
 
UNE is back in action at home on Friday night for a Homecoming Weekend matchup against American International College [B] at 7 p.m.
