WATERVILLE, Maine -- The University of New England women's swimming team finished up the two-day, three-session Maine Invitational meet on Saturday evening (Dec. 2) at Colby College's Harold Alfond Aquatics Center.

Adria Horton and Mic Hujus each topped the Nor'easters in five individual events and combined to lead the three relays. Liv Roux and Meghan Cabral paced UNE in three and two others, respectively.

Horton had season-best times for herself and the team in the 500-freestyle (5:26.96), 100-butterfly (1:02.01), and 100-backstroke (1:03.59). She also swam the 1,650-freestyle (19:30.03) and 200-butterfly (2:26.83).

Hujus clocked a UNE season-best in the 100-individual medley (1:05.27). For the second time during her rookie campaign, she bettered what started the year as the school record in the 100-freestyle, .06 seconds off the mark (54.41). Additionally, Hujus competed in the 50-butterfly (27.22), 50-freestyle (24.92), and 200-freestyle (2:04.14).

Roux in the 200-individual medley (2:30.93), the 50-backstroke (30.22), and the 200-backstroke (2:24.75), Cabral in the 50-breaststroke (35.36) and 100-breaststroke (1:17.04), and Sophie Piette in the 200-breaststroke (2:53.16) were all the best times for the Nor'easters in the semester.

Hujus also posted the top splits for the relays -- a 25.11 first leg in the 200-freestyle relay (1:45.36), a 24.98 fourth leg in the 200-medley relay (1:57.69), and a 55.95 first leg in the 400-freestyle relay (3:54.38).

UNE resumes its schedule on January 13 (12 p.m.) against Maine Maritime Academy.
