BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Mount Holyoke College received event wins from seven different individuals on the way to a 137-119 result versus the University of New England women's swimming team at the Campus Center Pool on Saturday (Nov. 4).

The star of the day, though, was Nor'easter rookie Mic Hujus, who captured three races in her first home competition. Hujus took down pool records in each event, and even made the 100-freestyle (54.35) a new school record. The previous program mark was 54.43 had been established in 2010-11 by UNE Hall of Fame inductee Lizzie Wareham.

Hujus claimed the 200-freestyle in 2:01.19, which was more than nine seconds clear of the next fastest. She was more than four seconds ahead of the field in the 100 free, and then posted 27.04 in the 50-butterfly to edge MHC's Carolina Loayza by 0.24 seconds.

Loayza was one of the Lyons to touch the wall first (50 free). Eliza Williams (1,000 free), Adji Diouf (50 back), Megan Schneider (50 breast), Isabel Dunn (100 fly), Hannah Heierhoff (100 back), and Lauren Madsen (100 breast) were the others. The 200 medley relay, comprised of Diouf, Schneider, Loayza, and Kamlyn Yosick, posted a 1:59.08 for another top result.

For the Nor'easters, Adria Horton won the 500 freestyle by 10 seconds with a time of 5:44.20.

Liv Roux was less than one second back of Diouf in the 50 backstroke (31.34; -0.71) and Heierhoff in the 100 backstroke (1:08.60; -0.70) to aid the UNE cause.

The Nor'easters will swim at Simmons University next Saturday, against the Sharks as well as Colby-Sawyer College.
