NORTHFIELD, Vt. -- The University of New England women's rugby team kept host Norwich University off the scoreboard on its way to a 56-0 National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) win on a rainy Saturday afternoon (Oct. 21).

The offensive attack was well-distributed for the Nor'easters. Celeste Valerio and Elizabeth Goodrich each contributed a pair of tries, while Jo Robinson, Hannah Ramalho, Alexis Tardy, Liz Cogan and Sara Kraus added one apiece. Kraus also had a penalty kick. Brianna Dargin nailed four conversions from the wet and muddy surface.

The victory was the second over the Cadets in a span of five weeks for the Nor'easters, who turned back Norwich, 41-5, Sept. 16 at Blue Storm Stadium.

UNE will conclude its regular season next Saturday (Oct. 28) when the Nor'easters head to Brunswick to take on NIRA rival Bowdoin College at 11:00 a.m.
