BOSTON, Mass. -- For the third time in four races, Troy Silvestri placed inside the top 10 runners at the Suffolk University Invitational on Saturday (Oct. 14) at Franklin Park, and the University of New England men's cross country squad wound up 17th out of 24 teams.

Colby College had three runners near the front of the pack en route to a score of 38, ahead of the University of Massachusetts-Lowell (94) and Bowdoin College (112). UNE had a total of 470.

Silvestri took the 9th spot around the 8K course with a time of 25:59, and just 35 seconds back of the leading competitor in the field of 276.

Jackson Stone (117th; 28:55), Isaiah Cyr (170th; 30:29), and Jack O'Connor (30:53) were next in line for the Nor'easters. Griffin Kaplan (200th; 31:56) rounded out the team score, while Alex Thibeault finished right behind Kaplan.

In two weeks, UNE will head to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship on the campus of Gordon College.
