BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Olivia Roy, Annika Doeppers, and Elli Donovan all gained first-place points from two events to pace the University of New England women's swimming team in a 154-90 triumph against the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth at the Campus Center Pool on Saturday (Jan. 28).

The Nor'easters (6-2) totaled eight solo wins and a pair of relay victories on the day, in their last tune-up before the Little East Championship meet that begins on February 17.

Roy, in the 100-butterfly (1:05.53) and 100-individual medley (1:07.16), and Doeppers, in the 1000-freestyle (11:41.23) and 100-breaststroke (1:15.49), touched well ahead of the respective fields in their events. Donovan led the way into the wall in the 50-freestyle (27.84) and 100-freestyle (1:00.57) -- both by just over one second in front of the nearest competitor.

UNE's other two wins came from Sophie Piette and Regina Dyer. Piette claimed the 50-breaststroke (37.60) by 0.21 over the Corsairs' Kylie Winer, while Dyer finished the 200-freestyle (2:16.39) just 0.78 before teammate Taylor Gibson. Gibson was also runner-up in the narrowest margin of the afternoon, as UMD's Ella Gerardi took the 50-butterfly (32.11) by 0.20 seconds.

Piper Dienst captured the 50-backstroke and 100-backstroke for the visitors, and Winer registered first-place in the 500-freestyle.

Caitlin Cournoyer, Piette, Roy, and Donovan grouped to win the 200-medley relay (2:06.97) for the Nor'easters. Dyer, Donovan, Doeppers, and Roy capped the meet by posting a 1:52.45 in the 200-freestyle relay.
