BIDDEFORD, Maine – #4 Endicott College scored on three of its four power play chances as it defeated the #14 University of New England men's ice hockey team, 6-3 in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) tilt at the Harold Alfond Forum on Friday night.
The Gulls, winners in their last 11 games, improve to 12-1 overall and 10-0 in conference play. The Nor'easters are now 9-4-1 overall and 7-3-0 in CCC action.
UNE got off to a quick start as the puck found
Daniel Winslow in the slot 3:42 into the game. Winslow beat Gulls' goaltender Atticus Kelly to the stick side to put the Nor'easters in front.

Ryan Willett blasted a shot of the crossbar and in on a power play with 12:31 to play in the first to tie the game for Endicott. Andrew Kurapov and Cassidy Bowes provided helpers. Then Connor Amsley raced past the Nor'easter defense for a loose puck and scored on a shorthanded breakaway to give the Gulls at 2-1 lead with 7:59 left in the period.
Jackson Sterrett redirected a shot from Eric Johansson to add to the visitors lead 5:10 into the second period to extend the advantage to 3-1. The Nor'easters pulled back within one minutes later, as Winslow fed
Noah Szretter near the blue line and Szretter launched a shot that ricocheted in off the stick of Devine. [

Noah Strawn put the Gulls back in front by two midway through the second period as his shot from near the far corner bounced off a UNE defender and caught
Billy Girard IV by surprise. The score stood at 4-2 after two periods.
The Nor'easters returned the favor 1:50 into the final period with a bad-bounce goal of their own, as a slap-pass from the top of the circle by
Jake Fuss caromed off an Endicott skate in the middle and over the shoulder of Kelly cut the UNE deficit to 4-3 [

Ryan Kuzmich added assists on the goal. The Nor'easters looked to have tied the game with 15:26 to play as Winslow found the back of the net, but the goal was waived off due to incidental contact with the goaltender by a UNE player. [

Bowes made it 5-3 for the Gulls as he connected on a close-range one-timer from Kevin Craig with 7:44 to play. Zach Mazur added a late empty-net goal for Endicott.
Kelly made 20 stops in the victory for the Gulls. Girard had 35 saves for UNE.
