OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine -- Saint Joseph's College of Maine received six-over-par rounds of 78 from Trevor Flanagan and Cade Buckley to clip the University of New England men's golf squad, 325-329, on Sunday afternoon (Apr. 24) at Dunegrass Golf Club.

The top two scores for the Nor'easters were Jack Sicurella and Tom Higgins with 79 and 82, respectively. The Monks rounded out their total with an 84 from Tyler Snell and 85 out of Drew Mathieu, while UNE got 84's from Jake Mielcarz and Marcus Costa. Colin Casamento came in with an 85 for the hosts.

The Nor'easters are now less than a week away from the two-day Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship, which begins Saturday at Raceway Golf Club in northeast Connecticut. UNE is one of four teams vying for the automatic bid into the national field.
