BIDDEFORD, Maine – The University of New England women's rugby team fell to Bowdoin College in the championship game of the Nor'easter 7's Tournament held at UNE Blue Storm Stadium on Saturday afternoon. 
 
The Nor'easters won their group with three convincing victories over Nor'easter Motley (39-0), Castleton (41-0), and Bowdoin B (29-7). UNE took down Norwich 57-5 in the semifinal round before falling to Bowdoin 21-0 in the championship.
 
Katie Berger and Alyssa Ehrenfried led the Nor'easters with five tries each on the day. Meghan Smith added four tries, including three in the semifinal victory against Norwich, and a conversion kick. Mackenzie Burke and Allie Gilbert each had three tries. Burke was 10-for-20 on conversions for the Nor'easters.

Berger, Burke, Ehrenfried, and Smith each earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team. 

The Nor'easters finish their season next Saturday at the Polar Bear 7's hosted by Bowdoin.
