BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England lacrosse programs presented a donation of $6,232 to The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center recently, as a result of the funds generated through the 14th Annual Lax-4-Life events in the fall.

The fall invitational event was originally started back in 2007 by former men's coach, Jon Hunt, and current men's coach Charlie Burch has kept it going since 2013. The women's program and now former coach Sue Estabrook joined the efforts in 2014. Through 14 years, UNE has used Lax-4-Life to generate over $42,000 of donations for the local hospital.
