AMHERST, Mass. – Kenzie MacDonald scored two goals and had an assist as Amherst College defeated the University of New England, 5-0, in non-conference women's ice hockey action at Orr Rink on Tuesday.
 
Kaleigh Laurendeau made 19 of her 49 saves in the first period as the Nor'easters (8-11-2) were able to keep the Mammoths off the board. MacDonald put in her first 2:07 into the second period, with help from Kelsey Stewart and Rylee Glennon, as Amherst led 1-0 after two periods.
 
The Mammoths pulled away with four goals in a span of just 2:15 in the third period. Ellie DeCarlo started the spree with a score at the 14:00 mark. Alyssa Xu and Angela Waiter added goals 20 seconds apart to make the score 4-0. MacDonald recorded her second of the night with 11:45 left to play.
 
Caitlin Walker stopped all seven shots she faced in the victory for Amherst (11-8-1)
