BIDDEFORD, Maine – The University of New England women's rugby team shutout Colby College, 32-0, in a non-conference matchup at Blue Storm Stadium on Thursday evening.
 
UNE got on the board with three tries in the first half. Liz Cogan started the scoring in the 7th minute with a try in the corner. Delaney Hansen put the Nor'easters in front 10-0 in the 19th minute with a score. Salma Bezzat had a long run to setup a try of her own in the 28th minute as UNE led 15-0 at halftime.
 
The Nor'easters continued to control play in the second half as Olivia Mitchell touched in for a try in the 40th minute. Allie Gilbert and Elizabeth Goodrich also added scores. Bezzat made her conversion kick for the final UNE points.
 
UNE hosts Castleton for a National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) matchup on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 3 p.m.
