BIDDEFORD, Maine -- An all-conference run from
Sebastian Zeman helped the University of New England to 5th place out of nine institutions in the 2022 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men's Cross Country Championship, which was held at Rotary Park on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 29).
Roger Williams University first-year Nathan Tassey was the first competitor across the line, leading the Hawks to a second consecutive title with a score of 42. Suffolk University (82), Endicott College (85), Gordon College (108), and the Nor'easters (124) rounded out the first half of the draw.
Tassey's 8K time of 25:58 was 40 seconds ahead of the next fastest from the 114 who laced up for the race. Zeman's 27:26 was good for 12th overall to pace UNE.
The Nor'easters added results from
Kyle Boucher (18th; 27:35),
Kevin Jasani (35th; 28:40),
Nolan Alexander (36th; 28:42), and
Jack Curry (40th; 29:01).
