BANGOR, Maine -- The University of New England men's cross country squad finished 7th from a field of 11 programs at the 2022 Maine Championship on Saturday (Oct. 1), which was contested at Saxl Park.
While Tyler Morris of Colby College claimed the top individual spot with an 8K time of 24:15, Bates College was represented by the next four runners and generated a score of 24 to edge the Mules (36). Bowdoin College (81) and the University of Southern Maine (130) took third and fourth, respectively, while UNE's total wound up at 202.
Within the 115 competitors, the Nor'easters received three of their scoring performances out of
Sebastian Zeman (51st; 27:29),
Kevin Jasani (55th; 27:47), and
Kyle Boucher (59th; 28:02). Rounding out the team number was
Nolan Alexander (74th; 28:45) and
Jack O'Connor (80th; 29:30).
Next up for UNE will be a return visit to Suffolk University on October 15.
