Scoring Summary

BIDDEFORD, Maine – West Chester defeated the University of New England, 85-7, in a women's rugby contest at UNE Blue Storm Stadium on Sunday morning.
 
Autumn Czaplicki scored three tries, all in the first half, to lead the Golden Rams (1-0). Lauren Madalian had three runs of 20, including two that went for tries. Juliana Aliprandi also had two scored and was four of seven on conversion kick attempts.
 
Alyssa Ehrenfried put in a try for the Nor'easters (1-1) in the second half. Meghan Smith converted on the kick for UNE's points.
 
Olivia Mitchell led the way with 10 tackles. Salma Bezzat (9) and Fiona Thomas (8) also made strong contributions to the UNE defense. Bayla Shindledecker, Faith Morley, and Czaplicki each had six tackles for the Golden Rams.
 
The Nor'easters held advantages of 14-4 on scrums and 5-4 on lineouts on the day.
 
UNE returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 25 on the road at Bowdoin at 2 p.m.
