BEVERLY, Mass. -- The University of New England men's golf team placed 3rd with a score of 338 at the Endicott College Invitational on Tuesday (Apr. 13) at Beverly Golf & Tennis Club.

The host Gulls posted 304 to win the event, with Suffolk University second at 334. Gordon College did not record a team total. Nick Grimbilas of Endicott was the medalist, shooting an even-par round of 70 to win by seven strokes.

For the Nor'easters, Thomas Higgins had a squad-best 83, Colin Casamento and rookie Jack Sicurella both carded 84, and Cal Crosby came in with 87.

UNE will now prepare for the two-day Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship, which starts next Sunday (Apr. 26) right back at Beverly GC.
