BEVERLY, Mass. – #8 Endicott College shutout the University of New England, 3-0, in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's ice hockey matchup on Saturday afternoon.
Quin Healy broke through for the Gulls just 3:19 into the game. Aurora Devereaux and Madison Hentosh each assisted on the early goal as Endicott led 1-0 after a period.
Jacy Kuhlman doubled the advantage with a score at the 14:28 mark of the second period. Kat Keith added an unassisted tally 1:34 later to put the Gulls in front 3-0.
The Nor'easters attempted 12 of their 19 overall shots in the third period, but were unable to get on the board. Endicott had 40 shots on goal.
Delanie Corcoran made 23 saves for UNE over the opening two periods.
Kaleigh Laurendeau made 14 stops in a scoreless third for the Nor'easters. Michaela O'Brien had 19 saves in the shutout.
UNE visits CCC-newcomer Suffolk on Friday night at 6 p.m.
