BIDDEFORD, Maine --
Jillian Lachapelle scored her team-leading eighth goal just 27 seconds into the match and the University of New England field hockey team coasted to a 3-0 victory over Wheaton College (Mass.) on Tuesday night (Oct. 12) at Blue Bolt Field.
It was the fifth win in-a-row for the Nor'easters (8-4), who will now prepared for a showdown of conference unbeatens on Saturday at Endicott College. The loss sets the Lyons back to 7-6 overall.
Lachapelle found the back of the net for a fourth consecutive outing with a one-time redirection on a pass from the right side by
Lindsay Bruns.
