Three student-athletes honored by Westbrook College of Health Professions

BIDDEFORD, Maine -- As part of the recent virtual University of New England Commencement celebrations, three Nor'easter student-athletes were recognized on Sunday (June 14) by the Westbrook College of Health Professions for academic success within their major or the College.
  • Maroon Award (highest undergraduate honor in WCHP): Sarah Andrews, women's cross country
  • Outstanding Academic Achievement Award for Applied Exercise Science: Sarah Andrews, women's cross country
  • Outstanding Academic Achievement Award for Athletic Training: Chelsey Caron, women's ice hockey
  • Outstanding Academic Achievement Award for Health, Wellness, & Occupational Studies: Meagan Accardi, women's ice hockey
Sarah Andrews becomes the second student-athlete to receive the Maroon Award, following field hockey's Brooke Marshall '17. Meagan Accardi was also previously named as the Female Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year by the Athletics Department.

In addition to Benoit, five other student-athletes received leading accolades within a CAS major:
